Default Need a little help

I recently got notification of being transferred for work to Kfalls, so I need out of my lease.. Its a nice little apartment in between multnomah village and hillsdale in a great community. Anyways please keep your ears out if you hear of anybody wanting a 1 bedroom apartment in SW Portland. This is a good opportunity for someone with limited funds as the only move in cost will be a 35.00 application fee and who ever moves in will get my 600.00 deposit.

Just curious, did you tell your employer of the situation? I know quite a few companies who transfer mgmt level employees will often assist with the hassle of getting a new place and/or getting out of the old place. Good luck!

I do commercial construction for a living and leave town for projects from time to time. If they are short term I just keep my place, but this is a 6 month project so I am just going to relocate. The last thing I want to do is drive 5 hours on a friday after a 60 hr week.

Have you asked your landlord if you can break the lease? Sometimes a good landlord will work with you if you have been a good tennant. Also what is the penalty for early termination of lease stated in your rental agreement?
