Default screwed up again

awhile back I posted re: RMEF's Elk Camp in Reno, as my wife got me plane tix for Christmas. Welp, guess who's plane left yesterday and guess who's at home typing this right now I would've bet anything that my flight was this evening. Southwest Airlines did say they'd credit me, but that doesn't get me to Elk Camp.

Been there...I missed my flight to Army Basic Training (Ft. Knox, KY) by 12 hours. Had to fly stand-by accross country and lost my luggage. Ever show up for basic training without underwear? The Army took a dim view of "going commando".

Thanks Mpmax, now your story makes me feel better. Too bad my wife doesn't have a sense of humor.

I blew a booking from London to Ireland once by one day and Air Lingus shrugged their sholders and said if you want to go you have to buy two new tickets. We originally booked them for 50 pounds each and to buy two new was 300 pounds additional. Roughly 650 dollars. After that they charged me 10 pounds (24$) for each bag to check. Even the first one!

I forgot it took an entire day to get to london and blew the booking so it was my fault but there was no sypathy. They even charged for water on the plane after security made me throw my water away prior to getting on the plane. It was even purchased in the secure area.

Add that to the stomach issues I was having... if you know what I mean.

Never forget that one.
