Thanks Leupold
I had a pair of Wind River Binos and I knocked them off my kitchen counter. They hit the floor hard and would no longer focus. The Wind River was/is a Leupold brand. I took the binos to Leupold's plant and told them what happened. I now have a new pair of Leupold binos at no cost.

Re: Thanks Leupold
I've heard stories of guys bringing them broken items that are 50+ years old and they would swap it with whatever is comparable quality wise now. My VXII is about 25 years old and fogs from the inside, i'm going to call them and see what they will do.

Re: Thanks Leupold
I had an old rifle that I put a new variX-II 3x9 on. I couldn't get it on paper at 100 yards. I took it to the factory (kind of weird walking into an office with a rifle). The rep took the rifle. A day later they called to pick it up. They said the problem was the bushnell rings/base. They put new leupold rings/base on (for free) and it worked perfect after that. The problem wasn't even with their product and they fixed it.

Re: Thanks Leupold
When my grandfather past away a few years ago my cousin got his 30.06 w/ a 3x9x40 VXII scope on it. The rifle and scope were over 30 years old. The scope was a little blurry for whatever reason and my cousin was going to replace it. I told him about Leupold's warranty so he gave them a call. They told him to send it in. One week later he had a brand new one at his door step!

Yes, they are really awesome! I broke my Leupold scope during deer season (I dropped it & it began fogging up). I took it to them & the next day they called me to come get a brand new one instead of fixing mine. My scope was 16 years old; now it's just 4 months old

Re: Thanks Leupold
If you guys ever get a chance do a tour of their plant and look @ the wall of shame. There are some amazing stories about scopes that took a real beating. I especially like the ones where bullets went through the scope before going through the cabs of trucks. Also about the ones that got dropped in rivers in Alaska only to be found a year later.
Lifetime warranty means something.

Re: Thanks Leupold
Yeah, Leupold sucks. You should have bought a Simmons or Weaver.
