Took a drive on Friday down the coast...you oregonians sure have some nice country down in that tillamook country! My question...we weren't to far out of Garibaldi... the highway and the water meet and there is what looks like a small refueling dock...everybody was doing trolling right tight to this dock...what is this hole called and on what body of water??
Were any of you there on Friday...didn't see any ifish stickers.

Hey Jim I'm guessing you were just south of garibaldi and the floating refueling dock is actually a floating restroom. Thats the ghost hole in tillamook bay.
If you mean the Ghost Hole that small "refueling dock" is actually a "defueling dock", a porta-potti placed there by people with too much of your tax money to spend.

Tillamook Anglers!!! Good people doing great things!
By the time Oct rolls around I'm hunting and have never been to TBay for fall fishing. During the summer months I spend a lot of time there, crabbing. I am surprised at this post as I think I must have been calling places on the bay by wrong names. If Garibaldi is on the north side of the bay and the floating restrooms to the south
is the ghost hole, then ehere is crab harbor? I thought the ghost hole was the channel that ran parallel to the highway which runs east and west
from Garibaldi. The restroom dock I thought was what folks call crab harbor. Come to think of it, I don't know who told me the names of these places. But it sure makes me feel silly when I have called the places by the wrong name for the last 40 years. Though that little dock is new in the last couple. Darn good thing I at least got Portland correct, or I might never made it home all this time.
Okie Dokie Bigshark ya got me there I think. I used south of garibaldi as an general reference based on Hyw 101 running North-South. Its possible I'm directionally challenged. LOL
Big Shark - I would guess you have the names correct and your confusion is they move the "refueling dock" in the fall. During the summer it is anchored in crab harbor. When the fall fish show up, the dock is moved over next to 101 in the ghost hole.
