I have a Clifford alarm with remote start. Any alarm would work to deterred thefts. But if you want something that's reliable a known brand with a lifetime warranty will work best. I used to be an installer, so if you need any infos or help with purchasing an alarm, don't hesistate to ask me.

Sorry to hear about your truck BW. Ya might also think about buying a pair, or a quad, of those door handle replacements in metal.

Python with keyless entry. I have had it for about 7 years with no problems. It is not one of those alarms that goes off when the wind blows, but goes off if it gets bumped or worse

I have a Clifford alarm also. But also realize that if the theif wants something, the alarm isn't going to stop them. I was broken into and had an amplifier stolen, with the alarm set. You still have to be aware of where you're parking. I was at a trailhead for a walking path.

If it wasn't for my alarm, my truck would be in pieces right now. For the last three weeks, my car alarm has been set off during the middle of the night. I think the perp has been casing my truck, and he wants to know if I have an alarm in the truck. So they've been testing to see if the alarm works, and too see if I had remember to turn the alarm on. If I catch the perps thats trying to break in my truck, I'll let my friends Kimber and Sig do the talking for me.

I'm pretty sure in Oregon you cannot use deadly force to protect property outside the house. Is that right?

I'm just going to hold them 'til the law arrive to take them away. No deadly force is needed here, it is only a truck. "Things can be replace, lives can't". Just been annoyed by this problem for the last few weeks, you would too if you get awaken in the middle of the night.

We used a shotgun and held 6 people, until police arrived, after an attempted neighborhood fleecing. The police were VERY glad we managed to get 6 of them (there were 7, one got away).
