Default Two More Shipwrecks Found

This makes three shipwrecks found this year after some bad storms. Makes a guy wonder how many more might show up and where.

Two new shipwrecks emerge on Oregon Coast; details few

As state officials decide who will restore two historic cannons recovered Tuesday at Arch Cape Beach, agencies said two other shipwrecks have appeared in the last few days.
One is a wooden shipwreck near where Cut Creek, about six miles north Bandon, enters the ocean, said Megan Harper, a Bureau of Land Management spokeswoman. Locals also call the area Whiskey Run. No other details were available.

They didn't wash ashore this year. They were buried in the sand and uncovered by the winds and rain.

The ship down by Bandon was actually uncovered about a year ago. There's an article on it in the latest Oregon Coast magazine. According to the story it's the remains of the Acme.
