Default Bisbee Tourney

Has anyone heard what size of Marlin took the trophy in last weeks Bisbee tournament in Cabo? I was staying in a condo that was overlooking the start of the race ( 200 boats on a flying start was a cool site). I went Marlin fishing myself and got skunked. We did catch 3 Dorado's and 9 yellow fin ( 3 over 50 lbs') Pound for pound the strongest fish i've caught.

Yeah, it was a big, mean fish, but I managed to get it in on my trusty Lamiglas G-1000 backbouncer. Fishin Freak, you want a hard fighting fish, go down to Cabo in June and troll the breakers for Rooster Fish. I got into several that were over 20 and I couldn't even move my arms the next day. I caught one that was about 12 lbs on my 12 weight fly rod. I didn't think that rod would be able to handle that fish half way into the fight. Those are some strong fish.

Tanner,

That sounds awesome. I was actually going to go after those but I didn't get around to it. Next year for sure.Do your troll rapala's or did you go with live bait? Last year we caught alot of stripped tuna and sierras right outside the surf. Fishing off the Baja is a kick. So many differant fish! I still prefer my first love, chinook fishing!

OK you guys are depressing me. This is the first year in four years that I havent spent this week and part of the Bisbee week in Cabo. Hopefully next year. Hard to beat that Cabo fishing. P.S. Anyone interested in a great deal on some timeshare weeks? 38 weeks for $150 a week, Plaza Las Glorias. I will rent the weeks out also starting at $600 each for a studio.

Firedog,

That's a good price. I might know someone that is interested. Where is Plaza Las Glorias located? I have a time share at the Missions about 2 miles form cabo on turtle beach ( next to Da Giorgios resteraunt). I will check with them tonight to see if they are interested. Keep an eye on this post.
If it is any consolation I was told that the hurricane had adverse effects on the fishing in October. I was there for 2 weeks and had fun with the yellow fins but didn't come up with my first marlin ( guess I am going to have to go back next year darnit)

FF Plaza Las Glorias is right on the Marina the big rust colored building. You can e-mail me if you like or just post here if your friend is interested. I love Cabo and have quite a few friends down there now. Great town and anyone who hasn't been should try and get down there.
