Default bananna ruling?

So I’ve been told, Banana’s bring bad luck to one’s boat. With this in mind.Is it the peel or the meat of the fruit? Or must the banana be intact to bring stench of a skunk?
An individuals is planning on getting in my boat this evening has consumed two bananas during his lunch intake. I told him access would be denied unless he could provide me with proof the fruit was no longer part of his inner belongings. Unless I could find out if there were particulars to this matter??

In all my experience w/ bananas, I'd have to say that as long as he washes his hands with soap and hot water he isn't likely to contaminate the rest of the boat. Bananas in your system don't seem to have the affect of ruing everyone else's fishing, just the person who ate them. He isn't likely to catch anything, but hopefully he won't ruin the trip for all of you.

You should be aware that any part of the physical banana or plantain is very dangerous. The peel in particular causes the most concern. They are routinely thrown overboard and can ruin the fishing downriver for days. I recall finding a banana peel that washed into a bucket we were using as a wind anchor. Needless to say we caught no fish that day. Be alert! If you must dispose of a banana peel, do so through cremation, as opposed to burial. The last thing we need is banana run-off going into the river.

Be forewarned. Messing with bananas is tricky buissness. Once you start looking into these gray areas of what is okay and what isn't you are only inviting the wrath of the fishing gods. Best to stay banana-free and avoid the trouble all together.

Uhm, ok, so why do they make plastic baits impregnated with bananna oils?

So, sounds to me like this could be a research effort that we could get the government to fund. "Bananas - Substance Abuse in Piscatorial Pursuits".

Hmmm, I like that. Could be 5 to 10 year study, have to fish everyday, in all conditions, in several different models of boats, for different species and all over the world.

Could be a informational gold mine that would change our world forever. And be a ton of fun in the process.

There's *****, complete ***** and those that believe in this Banana myth. In exactly that order
I realize a lot of you joke about this, but what really cracks me up is some people really take this nonsense seriously.

Nook,
I love my Willie Boat. I also love my Alumaweld Jet Boat  . Actually, I'm thinking about getting rid of it and getting a 20' Open Willie Sled. I just hate the idea of going back to an outboard motor.
