Default Springer pointers

I've had my share of good luck with sturgeon this year.... but am still dreaming of catching my first springer.
Sounds like St Helens - Sand Island is the place to head... Could I ask for some other details....
Are you trolling with kwik fish? Spinners? How deep. Other important info?
Thanks for any advise you can offer a rookie

FF -

I have had good luck in that area with Kwikfish on anchor during the outgoing tide anywhere from 18-24 inches off of the bottom in anywhere from 10-35 feet of water.

Good luck. They sure are pretty and tasty!

Don't forget your K-16's , you will catch some huge clippies with em , on the big tides though stick with the 15's. Definitely experiment with your dropper length and galvanized hooks have quite a bit of flex to them, so find some stronger treble's that work for ya. Your gonna get em, anywhere you go pretty much.

Go to marker 77 is St.Helens, anchor with the hundred other boats out there and run a quickfish about 2-3 foot dropper, 3' of leader and set it on the bottom. Wrap the quickfish or use scent. Start eating a sandwitch, get the p-can, pour a cup of coffee and tune in a radio station at the same time, look back and your rod should be buried. Good luck.
