Re: Brandon Roy leads in scoring in All-Star
Congrats to Brandon! Great showing off the bench!
18 points
8-10 field goals
2-3 three-pointers
9 rebounds
5 assists
1 steal
1 block
All in 28 minutes!!!
I wonder what he'll do in his 3rd year in the league

Re: Brandon Roy leads in scoring in All-Star
I think next year with Roy and Oden, we'll dominate more than we are this year.

Re: Brandon Roy leads in scoring in All-Star
Today on ESPN Classics they were running some of the better All-Star games that have happened, and the one that I thought was most telling of the current basketball situation was the one that was to be Michael Jordon's last one, which also happened to be Kobe Bryant's first one. The announcers were talking about how the East squad was told by coach Larry Bird that this was Jordan's show, and that they should use it as a proper send-off to someone who had done so much for them over the years.
Everyone seemed to buy into it but Kobe over on the West squad, who was there to show himself off. I remember seeing how many of the elder statesmen of the NBA like Jordon and others were really taking it to Bryant and thought that they were being kind of hard on the kid. However, with 20/20 vision being so clear I now see that they probably saw straight off what kind of selfish egotistical brat he is, and they wanted to put him in his place. He still wowed the crowd, but they did take him to town.
Bryant is a prime example of what is wrong with the NBA. Brandon Roy (as well as the rest of our beloved overachieving Blazer team this year) is what is right in the league. I only hope that, as they continue down the path of their successful careers, they become role-models to those so impressionable who are yet to come.
Wouldn't that be nice?
Congrats, Brandon. Your performance made us reborn Blazer fans awfully proud.

And I truely hope that everyone understands that the team we have now even next year with Oden will need a few years to contend for a top spot in the Western Confrence. But in the mean time show them the love and the support that they finally have earned as a franchise, there has been some painful years in the not so distant past. Its been a long hard road for the blazers fan.
But at least in my eyes they have proven that they are worthy of our support and at least some of my money. They keep it up and more of my money will flow there way. A big thank goes out to Kevin Prichard

Re: Brandon Roy leads in scoring in All-Star
Watching enthusiastic, unselfish players like Brandon and LeBron play the game they love is always a pleasure. When the Blazers get some scoring help in the paint next year...look out! It's fun seeing these young guys mature and lead their teams.

RIP CITY, USA Is back on the map once again, for good reasons this time. Love the new attitude of the Blazers, along with their work ethics on and off the floor. Glad to see the changes has come to bring pride back into us Blazers fans.

I watched a little bit of this also. I hadn't known until last night that Brandon played the most minutes (28) of any western all-star. It was a great showing!

Re: Brandon Roy leads in scoring in All-Star
Brandon hit a three toward the end of the game to keep the West close. It was a key point in the game. The East continue to make baskets though. And the West did not answer. It kinda seemed like Roy was deferring to Dirk. But Dirk was getting shut down. Roy is a class act, and I am predicting more good things for him.
