Default Lenco trim tab question

I might get more hits over here
On my new boat I have a pair of Lenco trim tabs that have a auto retract feature on it. It is wired into the tach and when I turn the key off it will take about five minutes for them to retract. Is there a timer setting on these that I can shorten the duration it takes to retract?
I would like them to retract as soon as I turn the key off. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Pete

Why did you wire them to the Tach? I used a power switch and when they are switched off, the retract within about a couple seconds.

I have Lenco's (factory installed). I don't believe mine auto-stow. Is this limited to specific models? If not, is this an easy modification?

I think the auto-retract is a function of the indicator switch circuitry.

Mine are tied into the ignition system (per installation instructions) and retract immediately.

Thanks guys; I got a hold of Lenco and they agree that they should retract immediately. They are sending me out a new control box today and that should fix it. Good customer service.
Thanks for the advice.

I'm still curious about it being wired to the tach. Is this a mfr. recommendation?

Chromaflag, I am running a Smart Craft tach from Merc. From what I gathered, when the tach senses no signal from the engine it is sent the Lenco control box and a relay (which Lenco thinks is bad) is what retracts the tabs. They are sent it overnight so will I know soon and keep you posted.
