Default Tough Go for NE Trask Cow Tag (picts)

Hey guy/gals,
Well we went out again today to find a cow for my sister and cousin but came up empty again. It seems as the snow has them all pushed out of the timber ground. The snow is not much better than what it was 2 weekends ago, and now its frozen over on top. There are a lot of deer down below the snow level but no elk where they normally are. Here are some pictures from last weekend compliments of flatlander and jacobsdad. The bottom picture is of an old cabin/shack we happened to see. Anyone no where the elk are at? (Besides at the mill)

Well, maybe I shouldn't have had you go along with us in Jan. Our bad luck must have rubbed off. Just kidding, keep at them, they'll show up eventually. Hey have a good weekend, we'll see you Monday.

Well we were close today! Finally found a herd on the right property and my sister got a couple shots off....a little too much shaking going on. They ran off and there were no blood trails so there is next week to continue the hunt, hopefully with less snow and more elk.

There is no picture of the pick-up that pulled your dad out(4 times). LOL. Had a great time again, see you next weekend.

They hate snow in my experience. Find the snowline, and hunt below it.

Those photos come with a fee.
That is pretty cool of you coming up every weekend to help your sister. Hopefully I can make it next weekend. Oh yeah, your grandma said thanks for getting your grandpa out of her hair too. Hope to see you guys next weekend.
