Default Netting Sturgeon?

Someone told me about mid week last week a netter was netting sturgeon to transport them up to the Dales Pool. Is this true and what are they taking? (Big ones, shakers, legals?) I think the day was tuesday or thursday. Just curious going to fish that maybe on Friday.

It's ODFW. We hired a trawler to catch small fish {less than 35"). To transport up above the dams. We do this because the fish will move downstream a little but can't get upstream very well. They can get through the ladders sometimes but not enough fish can get up that way. We do this to see if this is a better way than hatcheries to supplement the lost year classes due to spawning failures (No spill, no spawning). We are tracking survival, growth, and contribution to adult spawners. If we use naturally spawned fish we don't have to worry about genetics. The selection has been done. If you have anymore questions just ask.
