Default North Fork?

Anyone fishing the NF? I have a friend in town and thinking about going there tomorrow. It is supposed to be 3000cfs. Any feedback from Thumper would be great.

Rags,

I remembered seeing a couple of threads a few days ago. I gave them a "Top" for you.

Good Luck.

Fished the Kalama (up the road a piece from the Lewis)last weekend on Sunday and had a good day of it.

I was in the canyon and caught 4 fish by noon. Three drifting eggs and the last and biggest one on a wiggle wart drifted and retrieved thru the run just enough to keep it close to the bottom.

Saw a lot of boats on the lower river too, but don't have any info on how they did.

I'll probably give it a try again this weekend if this rain doesn't put the river out of shape.

Just getting back into fishing this year, and appreciate all the good info shared on this board. I've lurked, I mean, learned a lot.

Went yesterday (Monday) Fished a long time mooching eggs and only hooked 2, but other people were doing ok. I then backbounced eggs up above for a while and got 2 takes and about 5 fouled. The takers were 2 fairly nice hens so they took a boa ride home.

We decided to fish the canyon on the Kalama. It was hot fishing a few days ago but decided to die today. Went over to the NF at and watched several boats hookup. Jack, I have been working a lot also and not fishing much. Hope we can do the NF again. John

I've been fishin the NF aboout twice a week for the last month and have only landed 3 coho but i have landed over 10 steelies. caught a nice 30 incher yesterday. It was a nice hen and still had sea lice. Also, the fish was taged and the marker said Kalama River. I've never caught a tagged fish before and was wondering if its common to catch kalama river steelies in the lewis. If anybody has any input on this I'd be interested.
