Default Tillamook Bay on Sunday

Fished at Tillamook Bay on Sunday, and my friend Josh and I each took home nice fresh bucks. Jen was nice enough to post the picture for me under a different thread " They're still coming in". I'm the one on the right holding the smaller of two very bright, and brand new bucks. Josh's fish came on our first pass, mine on our second about an hour and a half later. Big thanks to Marie at Tillamook Bait for her outstanding Shrimp Scent and very nice service. She was quite helpful, and very knowledgable about the area and the up coming weather fronts. Of course, she was very happy to help us take pictures when we returned four or five hours later with fish. If you haven't tried some her spray on shrimp scent, I can tell you that you're missing out. This was our second trip in two weeks, and the first time with her shrimp scent. Two passes, two fish. We'll have to go again soon to try for an average. Alhtough, she might want to have her scale checked , we were sure our fish were bigger hanging off the side of the boat. 30# for Josh, 23# for me.

Thanks to dogfishboy for his e-mail tips to me. Did you make it there on Sunday? Another friend said the Nestucca from Farmers to 3 rivers was beginning to show bright fish on Saturday.

Chris,

You two guys were the "HIGHLIGHT" of my day!

Thanks for coming in and letting me take pictures! I had my weighing scale compared to GM and it was the same.

But your fish were HUGE!

Congratulations! And please come back for more wonderful pictures!

FWF1,
I made it and got a nice mint bright 24# hen. We actually watched each other catch our fish and I also talked to you guys down behind the Guide Shop later in the afternoon as we observed the activity and talked about the days catch. I was wondering if that was possibly you Chris. Funny. I was in my green smokercraft . There were some nice fish caught that day.

Marie's scent was pretty good to me last year in the river, but water levels have kept us waiting so far this year. I'll be sure to have some as soon as the rivers start to climb and hold... maybe this weekend !!

See ya on the water,
David

Dogfishboy,

After I left I was wondering about that too. Funny thing is the week before I saw another green smokercraft with some Ifish stickers on the back. Those guys at the guideshop were unreal. We went upriver a little, and saw a some better fish up there. See ya next time out.
