Default A prayer for our Nation

As I listen to the news, it hits me.
I know, I know, we are not supposed to do off topics...
I just want each and every one of you to say a prayer, in whatever way you pray, for our Nation, for our military families, for our leaders, and for life as we know it in these United States.
Bill Crosby was on T.V., and he was talking about how everyone was supposed to get on as normal, live life relaxed...etc... His remark?

"O.K.! You go first!"

I can relate to that!
Anyway, with the new threat this week, as just announced two hours ago, please... Pray for the people.
I was talking to my sister who was baking Halloween cookies. I told her I couldn't get into the holiday spirit, and she said, "Oh! Jennie! You have to!! It's your duty!"
And so I did. I baked cookies, decorated them with the kids, and even delivered some through town... to the bank lady, to the gas attendant...
It did wonders for my spirit.
Thanks... Do something with your family... Do something nice for someone.
Let's stand united.
Jen

I agree, Jennie! Not sure who listens to what kind of radio music on the way fishing, but if you listen to country you've probably heard the song about "where the stars and stripes...and the eagles fly". In that song he mentions that "I pledge alegiance to this flag, and if that bothers you then that's too bad!".

Whether we are casting on the banks of the Wilson or boats on the Trask or T-bay, we're at war. For those who haven't been there, congratulations and I really hope you don't experience it. Time to group and hang on...it's going to be a ride!

Jennie,

We all have different strengths and weaknesses to face everyday. We need each other in times of strife.

If it bothers you, like it bothers me, I suggest you turn off your radio and TV and listen to soft music and light a candle to calm your nerves.

And remember what Christ had to face on his way to the cross.

If you believe in God, then you have faith in humanity. And this should give you strength.

Pray for strength.

Pray for peace.

Marie @ TBC

(and remember theres a fish out there, waiting for you) GO FISHING !~

Jennie, iam going to send you an email with a message that i received today. It has nothing to do with fishing and it may be a bunch of baloney. If you feel it should be passed on then you can post it for all to see. Cagey
