Default FCV 620 or 585

Here's my question Dogs:
Are any of you running these units and if so, how do you like them?

I'm looking at getting a new sounder for my boat and have been running an old Lorwance monochrome for a few years. I'm tired of Lowrance products even though they have very nice displays when they work.
The 2 models I have been thinking of are the Furuno FCV 620 and the FCV 585. Probably more likely the 620 as it will fit my dash better as well as my budget.

Most likely combination will be the FCV 620 with a transom mount Transducer.

By the way, I have a Garmin plotter that I am quite happy with and plan the stick with stand alone units, so I won't be looking at the combo units.

Thanks for the input.....
Dave

I just installed a 585 with the B260 transducer on Goldy. It appears to be an awesome machine. I'll let you know in about a month.

I'm running the FCV620 with the transom mount transducer. Good adjustability, love the color screen. I do lose the bottom in rough water when doing over 20 kts, but I'm sure I could get a little better with a transducer adjustment, although not as good as a through hull. I have networked mine with my Garmin chartplotter. Networking instructions read like it had been translated from Japanese to English (go figure) but Furuno technical reponded promptly to my emailed questions.

I have the 585 and love it. Easy to use, excellent display and adjustability.

The 620 has a 5.6in screen color dual frequencies up to 600watts.
The 585 has a 8.4in screen color dual frequencies up to 1000watts.

Thanks for all the replies.
I sent an order in for the 620 and already knew the specs on the different models, but was more looking for user feedback from those who are running either model.
