I’m not exactly clear on why. It had something to do with my grandfather being in a Catholic orphanage when he was a young kid. Maybe he had three patron saints???

My oldest son is Ray Carl (2 names) ~ Ray after his grandfather aka papa, and Carl after his great grandfather (Carl) and grandma (Carla), my deceased grandfather
My youngest son ~ Leif, after his grandpa and my father, aka on this website "Norski"
Would not have it any other way.

My first name is after my Grandma (Dad's mom) ans my middle name is Amy after my Dad's sister. I wasn't thrilled with my first name during school because i had too many teachers with that name (always the oldest of them). But after school I came to understand the privilege of our family names.

Lawrence - This is my grandfather's first name. When I was a kid I did not tell anyone my middle name. After he passed I realized how much he meant to me and how proud I am to have his name. Ask me my middle name and I will tell ya'.

Name is Stephen Michael, I've always gone by Michael as my fathers name is Stephen Francis. I guess they wanted to avoid confusion. I havn't gone by "Michael" for ages, always Mike.
All kinds of hassles now, people don't want you to go by a middle name for some reason.

I don't know if this counts, Mine is "C", My grand fathers middle name was Clare, He didn't like it so he wouldn't let my mom name me that. Now I will tell you I loved That old guy and I would have been proud to have his name. He was Raymond Clare and I'm Raymond C.
