Pop up campers truck mounted

I was looking at one at the show ,I was thinking about getting a shell mainly for sleeping and keeping my gear safe when I travel ,what is your thoughs on them

I have a shell and it is great for keeping stuff safe but it does not make for a pleasant overnight experience, I am currently looking for a pop-up or a light weight fullsize camper good luck
