Wondering if we could start a investing group here. As usual I know nothing about doing this. But it might be a fun learning experience for some???

Re: investing group
That would be a neat idea to make happen! Especially if we could get some of the more "seasoned" investors out there who would be willing to share some of their knowledge. Anybody know how to start a group/club like that? I.E. --- any legalities involved, or???

Re: investing group
I was in an investing group for a while.
I learned a lot about picking stocks, but like all people in life, some people are aggressive investors, some are cautious. Our group started making rules. ie) PE less than 20, minimum of 5 years of profit and growth, ...on and on... after a while we had so many rules there wasnt but a handful of stocks we could own per our clubs rules.
It wasnt bad, it was just that we were so limited, ....to me with what were the most boring stocks in the world.
Have a good exit plan for members to quit, something like 95% of members club value to cover selling stocks to buy them out.
Its fun, and it was fun to present stocks to the club to buy. When I was ready to suggest a stock, I had a ton of info on that stock and knew it inside out.

Re: investing group
My cousin is in an investing group in Wisconsin, and they do pretty well. It always sounded like a fun idea. I would be interested, but I don't think anyone wants advice from me. I posted earlier what I do.

Every club I've part of, has been killed by lack of interest, down turn
and in-fighting.
I learned a lot from it.
I just like my own and have profited from it.
