Default Natures bounty!

As I was eating dinner tonight I realized that most everything I ate today was stuff I caught or shot!
Breakfast was pheasant noodles from the night before. I came home and made tuna sandwiches and then tonight I made my three critter lasanga! Deer from Washington, elk from Utah, and antelope from Wyoming. I had a good year! And what a good day for the wild side food!

Awesome! Nothing like free range. Just remember you are what you eat. I prefer not to be an abused cow in a feed lot in Mississppi.

It is so good (wild meat) had friends over for some tuna tonight and got to show pictures and they get this funny look on their face when you tell most people in Montana you go tuna fishing, they don't get it! Antelope is my favorite big game animal to eat absolutely delicicous, just need to find some more recipes for goose.

Hey, I'm in college basically living off fish I caught last summer. Tuna helper is extra cheap when you have 50 lbs. of canned TUNA! sitting around. And all my friends love when I have them over for halibut fish and chips!

Have to agree with you Dave. So nice to know where our meals come from. Best yet is teaching our kids how to be self sufficient as well as the value and ethics in hunting and using the game we take.

Big Billy, I came up with a goose pot roast recipe. I call it Simon and Garfunkle's Pot Roasted Goose, because I used sage, rosemary and thyme in it. I need to make it one more time, and write stuff down, then I'll let you in on it. BTW, I just saute the lesser breasts. They're just about the right size for a steak. If you saute sliced mushrooms, and thicken some au jus with a bit of cornstarch, and pour it over the top, you're good.

I haven't posted any of my waterfowl pictures here, ut it's something I do when I'm not thinking about tuna. Here's a few:
