Default anyone try this g-loomis rod?

this last year i've gone bobber fishing crazy! and now i want to add another bobber rod to the collection. i recently looked at a g-loomis str 1173s-sk, it's a 9'9" medium, 6-12lb, GL3. it felt truely awsome! i'm really thinking about buying one, but before i do i'm curious if anyone else has one or has tried one, and to what they think about that rod? thanks in advance! we have built a few.. It is almost the same blank as the 1143.. except for the handle kit.. we have actually pit a few of those handle kits (10" fore cork, 5" rear cork) on the 1143 and they fish really well.
In my opinion, I wouldn't spend the money on the Loomis, I'd buy a Rainshadow.... there are a few board members that you could ask...... the'd say the same thing.. I have yet to find someone that disagrees..

TH, let me ask you this, would you buy a loomis rod if it was at the same price as the rainshadow? or are you saying the rainshadow makes a superior product? i'm just curious to your opinion on this, not trying to start anything.

GL3 or Rainshadow...

I would buy the Rainshadow every time...let me tell you why!
They have a better feel... they are straighter blanks.. fewer blems.. (and yes most blanks have blems) we have had very few broken Rainshadow blanks (most of the time people breaks rods but sometimes they do break due to a defect, not very often w/ Rainshadow)
The Raishadow warranty is only $25 compared to $45+ from Loomis...

Just my $.02

Thanks guys..
