Default Finance Software

Anyone use a good finance software to keep track of your checking/savings accounts, bills and help with budgets? I know there is Quicken and Microsoft Money but haven't used either of them before. Are there others out there?

We're looking for something that will take care of budgets. Like setting a monthly amount in certain categories and then letting us know when we get close to that limit. Do either of these do that type of thing? What are some pros and cons of the software available?

Thanks!

I have started using Quicken in 1991. Wouldn't do it any other way. It will sometimes tell you some things you really don't want to hear. But it doesn't lie. Keep it current. It can be great tool. Handy for getting your tax info together also.

I used Quicken for a year, once. At the end of the year, I found that I had spent almost $2000 on fishing stuff, which made my wife mad. I also found out that she had spent $2000 on hair and cosmetics, which made me mad. So we threw it away, and haven't done a budget since, and now we're happy.

The only problem with Quicken, is I had to see how much money my wife spent at Walmart. Other than that, it is great.
