If anyone is looking for the the 80,000 fish headed to Eagle Creek, you should go now. The recent rains have brought in LOTS more fish. I fished today , and if there weren't fish going by my feet at all times, the were cruising the riffle above me. Simply amazing. Fish everywhere. The problem is that most of them are darker, and therefore are not very good biters. There was a good push of bright fish last night however, and of the fish I saw in 3 hours today( roughly 5- 6,000 )it was a 30/70 ratio of chromers to darkies. Mind you these are only the ones I saw. These fish were MOVIN ! We won't talk about my success ( 0 for 2), but my buddy did manage a nice (11#) summer steelie, and a chrome bright hen. Lucky dude.
Hit the creek soon, as of 6 p.m. it was still slightly rising, and still had very good color.

Tight lines,

Meridian-

I think they sell cough drops at the Chevron station. If you get this before the "flu" hits, try to start fishing above 1 o clock rock. That is a ways higher than I was, but like I said, those fish were movin! Good luck, and hopefully you feel better after bringing home 3 bright hens and are able to tend to that throat.

SL,

From the blurs I saw go by it was a 30-70 mix of bright fish and boots. My buddy landed a brand new hen and a summer steelhead yesterday before dark. If I can sneak out now, I'm gone to go try after some egg wagons for tidewater this weekend.

Had my gear packed in the car. Stopped by work to get everybody off in the right direction, the phone dodn't stop ringing and nobody seemed to be able to get along without me. Should have stuck to plan one and called in sick. FWF1 or anybody else get up to Eagle creek yesterday. By the way where is one o'clock rock?
