Default Bantam Magnumlite?

I have aquired a Bantam Magnumlite BG-X 2201 SG. It is an older reel that my dad threw in a drawer years ago. He absolutely hates casting reels. So I went ahead and dug it out for a spare. I was planning on taking it down to Ollie Damon's and having it serviced. Is there anything I should know about this reel first? Some people on this board know alot about reels and their mechanics. I've read about people having clutches modified and such. Just wondering if this reel is worth puting back into service and if I should request any special work be done. The reel cost me nothing, so a reasonable repair bill is still cheap in the end. Lastly would anyone have an approximate value on the reel? I don't want to sell it. I'm just curious.

Catch-22
Those reels were made about 1986-7 and had a retail of $60. Huslter Jim is the most knowledgeable person I know of when it comes to the older Shimanos. I've a couple of 251's that I wouldn't part with. I can't tell you if it needs work or not; you need to take it and try it out. Maybe it needs no work. Parts like drag washers and magnet parts are impossible to find anymore. Good reels though.

The old Bantam's are the best reels ever, in my opinion. Ollie's sells'em for around $120, if that gives you a good idea about how much to spend.
