Janice and a group of her friends were in car accident today. Everyone is ok. God be praised. Car is not ok but that is why we have insurance. Just pray for everyone involved for a good recovery. My sis is staying over night in the hospital because she was life flighted to the hospital. She is doing good, sore but doing good. The other ladies that were in the car got checked out. The driver Mary she had to be brought in by ambulance but she is doing ok. A lot of soreness but everything is ok. Keep all in prayers.

Things like that make you remember to hug your loved ones, and tell them how much they mean to you. Life is so fragile, sometimes.

I'm glad they are all OK, and will pray for their recoveries.

yeah they had the Lord looking over them from what we could gather they were in a small Honda car and they were hit buy a ford f350 can you say size matters. Lucky for the girls it was a glancing blow not a direct hit. rp

Update: all are doing well. Janice had to stay one more day in the hospital because another Doctor found out that Janice has something else going that is not from the accident. It is nothing serious. Please just keep praying for Janice also for her friends. The girl who was driving feels so bad. Please pray that she will feel peace in her heart about all of this. Thank You

UPDATE FROM MWA!!

First off I want to say, thank you all so much for your prayers. It means a whole lot. My friends and I have been feeling the presence of the Lord since it happened. To give a little more information on how the accident happened, we were on Howlett Road in Estacada (it was 5 minutes after we left the Eagle Fern Camp) We stopped at the stop sign and by my friends saying Mary (the driver) stopped at the sign and was going to go cause she didin't see anything. So she started to go until she noticed the truck and instead of pressing on the brake she stepped on the gas. The truck hit the front half driver side of the car, spun the car and we rolled into the ditch.

Here is the miraculous parts. First off, when it happened, all I saw was a flash of light and we were in the ditch (I pertain this to having God's angels right around us). The other thing was that we didn't have as much stuff in the car with us as we did when we went down to the camp. HEre's the thing. When they picked me up from my house on Friday there was so much in the car I couldn't buckle my seat belt and on the way there we were almost in an accident that could've been worse then the one we were in. then on the way back fromthe camp we all were able to stick way more in our suitcases and more into the trunk to give us more room in the car to buckle seat belts. So 5 minutes late the accident happens (we also were the second to the last people to leave the camp). When the accident happened, we all should've stayed in the car but something all told us to get out. we were able to move so we took our chances. I was in the Rear Passenger seat. The only thing that was holding me up was the seat belt itself. My butt was actually off the seat. when Mary, Nikki, and Dani were all out of the car (they went out the front passenger door) they tried to get me out. I couldn't open my door, and I was too big to squeeze through to the front. THe door was unlocked and mary tugged and tugged on the door and she cried out to God to open the door and it the door opened. They all grabbed on to me to get me out.

We went to grab some important things out of the car. I told them to try and grab there cell phones, and for some reaosn, the important things to me were my guitar, the camera, and a blanket. I couldn't find myself. In that time I started smelling gasoline come from the car. Mary finally came to the car and turned it off and took out the keys. Mary's dad told her (when he went to grab stuff out of the car from the tow place) that there was some of our stuff that was covered in gasoline.

SO all in all, it was a miracle we even survived like we did and got out like we did. The doctors that checked Mary out kept telling her that her legs should've been broken and she should've had a concusion. They said they've seen this type of accident before and people had worse things happen. They kept saying she was lucky, she just said 'Nope, it was God." The same way with me. They told me I was a lucky gal, I kept saying, nope... God was watching out for me. HE was watching out for all of us.

Although the only suffereing I have from the accident is bruising on my hip and where the seatbelt was they found that I had a Hydle Hernea and that my esaphagos is a larger caliber than most. So they kept me in an extra night where the next morning they did a Endosocopy to see how bad my esaphagos was. They found serious erosion of the my esaphogus and said for now they are having me take meds to see if that will heal on its own. If not, I don't know whats going to happen.

IN other words, i'm doing well. Prayers have been working, and they always have. God sent his angels, and he was there. HE still is.

Please continue to pray for continued healing. I'm not going back till Sunday, so, i've got quite a bit of time to heal now Also continue to pray for Mary, since I know she is still really sore from her leg bruising.

I'm getting better, but it seems after the first shower I took after coming home I seem to be in more pain then when i came home.

I will be going in in two weeks for a check up. I hope that they find a different way for me to be able to stand pain without taking meds and be able to stand for more than 15 minutes.

Please keep praying.. i'm starting to have a few nightmares about the accident since the insurance companies have called me and i've had to pretty much rewind the accident in my mind. Its a scary thing.

I know.. this update is a little outdated now.. but i wanted you to all know how I have been since the accident. Hip and neck of healed wonderful... praise God!! But the other thing the doctors found, which was an ulcer, swolleness and a short esophagus, and a hiadle hernia. Next month I will be going in for surgery and the pre surgery test is happening tomorrow. I'm a little nervous and scared so prayers could still be sent for that.

As for my friends. the twins are doing well and have moved on, but the driver (Mary) she has been in two other car accidents sense. Both not her fault. She is shaken up a lot and doesn't like to drive anymore but still does. She is still suffering from pain in her right leg which was smashed by the midsection of the car. Continue to pray for healing but also for her as she refuses to go see a doctor and help the healing process along the way.
