Default Tidewater snagging with buzzbombs

Yesterday I made it over to a couple boat ramps to see what the fishing is like and one of the fellas I talked with said he saw a numbers of fishermen using buzzbombs or lures like them to snag fish in the Trask tidewater. I thought a stop to that kind of thing was done. He said they would just cast it across a hole and slow real them in and sometimes jerk it if they felt a line rub. Is this still legal to use? Even if a few fish actually stirke those they should still be illegal because they are a big heavy weight with a big treble hook right on it! Get those snagging lures out of places where fish stack up for gosh sakes! I have watch guys use these over the years and most of them are trying to snag fish that wont bite there eggs. Get them out. Frog

Buzzbombs and even Nordics should be restricted during this time. Wow all these guys have to do is go to the Guide Shop and buy hatchery coho for $1 a pound. Hey 'Nooker I'm game for it tomorrow if you are.

In team sports it's called "unsportsman like conduct." The penalty is expulsion. Ask these guys sometime if they're so hard up for a fish that they have to do it in an unsportsmanship and illegal way.

Some will think about it and change their ways. Others just need to be arrested.

Hey Steve, I live on Springwater Rd., 3 miles past McIver park. Shoot me an E-mail and maybe we could get together some day. We can't live too far apart. Heck, we might even fish beside each other already!! I'll supply the driftboat if needed!!!
