Washington Fuel Refund

While reviewing other threads regarding "which type of boat, motor, etc to purchase" the subject always comes up regarding the dreaded cost of fuel. So instead of commenting on those threads I thought it better to start a new one. Below are links to the Washington State fuel tax refund program. Many of you might already be doing this but if not it is a simple program that will save you paying road tax on gasoline.

6. Can I get a refund for gasoline used in my pleasure boat?

No. Effective July 1, 1986, legislation eliminated the refund provision for fuel used in pleasure boats. An estimate of the fuel tax collected from Marine use is transferred to the State Marine Board for use in boating safety, law enforcement, and facility use. (ORS 319.415)

They do it In California I just got a big check for past three years use-its by gallons used not costs. Was very easy to fill out and send the check came in less that two weeks-Now to buy rods and reels or more gas??with it. Mark
