You TUNA! guys have way too much fun!
I swear I am going to get out this year. Even if I have to stand at the top of a feeway overpass with a sign that says " Will work for a TUNA trip!"

Re: 4 and a half months to go.....
Dude, you are not alone. Ready? Not exactly.
You should see my office. I've got gear everywhere...ditch bag, electronics, downriggers, tackle boxes full of knife style jigs, tadys, etc., bulk spools of Suffix braid line, tuna rods and reels that I just got.
I just got home from SportCo with more hali tackle. I've got 15 rods I gotta string up with braid...not looking forward to that. I got more stuff coming that I ordered online. I'll be at the Portland show next weekend hunting down Seelicious for a few of those Archer bars...
The madness doesn't stop!

Ready and waiting as well. Halibut and then tuna. I can't wait.
So, I'm confused, did you sell your boat and you now have a new plastic boat?

Re: 4 and a half months to go.....
I have the itch too, but remember, tuna don't come within range every year. Sometimes they stay 200 miles out, and sometimes for several years in a row. Mother ocean will do what she will do. When the tuna are in close, consider it a gift.

I have something in the works right now. Waiting on a couple loose ends and then a road trip.

Re: 4 and a half months to go.....
Way too cruel......
Now I remember why I'm out working on the boat every weekend - to get her ready for the next tuna trip.
I probably won't sleep tonight now....

Only 3 months by my figure. Once Halibut starts .. it's just a blur till someone decks the first tuna.

Re: 4 and a half months to go.....
I don't need post like this . All I think about now is when will the Tuna be back. This makes it worse. It's nice to see that I'm not the only one that has this problem.

Re: 4 and a half months to go.....
This post was totally unnecessary Chris. I'm trying to get in the mood for springer season and you're posting tuna dreams. Springers pale in comparrison.

I was born Ready. Gotta love that light Rod action for Tuna, looks like a couple of my Rod's bent almost in half. Yeah! I thought you were giving up Tuna/Ocean fishing to "Persue other endevers"?

I was selling/sold my boat to persue other endevers. Never said they didn't include knocking a dent in the population of salt water critters
