Default The future of Foster.....

I assume most folks have heard of the marina going in near the dam?
Here is the lastest story on it from the local paper.

I was curious on what others think Foster will be like in the next 5-10 years? I like the peacefullness now...such as it is,gonna miss that for sure.

Hmmmm,

Never thought of Foster as "peaceful"...Seems pretty busy around there dodging ski boats...I doubt it will change much..

You want peaceful,go up the hiway aways and pack into Heart lake...Now THATS peaceful...

With the new boat ramp and marina it will be crazy. I have been there when the sheriff was not allowing any more boats on the water, what a zoo. I drive the extra 5 miles up to Green Peater.

I camp there all the time and that lake is too small to support all those water sports. It sounds to me like they want to buy the whole lake and make it private. I am just reading between the lines.

I for one am very concerned if it happens there than what lake is next? Green Peter?

Remember everyone, the ramps at GP are usually hard to impossible to use, and global warming has caused rattlesnakes to migrate from the eastside, and while GP has been overrun, the snakes still haven't reached Foster. Yeah, that's it.

And as of today, I can tell you from personal experience that the snow is 6-9" deep at the GP dam, and I doub't many if anyone can make it to Thistle now (except them snakes).

Do you think the money around for this ? not, The corp will cave with people protesting This will hurt the native fish. The new ramp will only be used when lake is full, how often is that. This shows what govenment can do. The ramp is where the sand bar gets higher and higher each year. The best part of the marina is maybe the crack heads will leave my car alone since they will have boats.
