Default Lower Columbia Gators

Went out Tuesday AM from Ridgefield, fished below Woodland at my old favorite honey hole, one shaker, nothing else, Went up river to my second favorite hole in the St. Helens area, three legals, 44,44 & 47 in three hours, Had 4 or 5 shakers, none smaller than 36. All three legals were monster bites, with the pole nearly bent to the water and the reel screaming before we got it out of the holder! Done fishing by noon with our limits. What a day!! There's a few around Kelley point. If you get just shakers, move, the fish are scattered.

It gets better in late November.

We've dragged a 44" keeper out of the T-6 area within the past week. Lot's of shakers and a couple of almost legal's. Seems like we are having better luck in the faster moving river depths around 40 to 50 feet versus the 75 - 80 foot hole right off the terminal.
