Atomic Buffalo Turds, Sundried tomato/pesto torta, chips/salsa and maybe some nachos. I'm thinking about making a chili queso dip, but I fear the repercussions of that

RIBS! Lamb, pork and beef. And a pot of oyster stew for the non-meat eaters. You they can't find something they like in that list then they must be in the wrong house.

Re: Super Bowl Snacks
I'm brining a big batch of buffalo jerky as we speak, and I'll be bringing some buffalo pepperoni sticks. Janis is making up some ham-wrapped dilly beans with cream cheese on 'em.
All I know is, there will be tooooo much good stuff there. I'll probably have to take a nap by the time the game starts.

Slow cooked pork picnic, 2 racks of Babybacks, italian beef...venison style, and a batch of Atomic Buffalo Turds!! And for the side, my special super duper spicy beans!
Wife's making something that has to do with chips & dip, but I don't care much for that stuff...BRING ON THE MEAT!!!!
Oh yeah...for those of you asking what Atomic Buffalo Turds are, here's the link. If your mouth doesn't start to water, I think something might be wrong with you

Re: Super Bowl Snacks
I always put away a few packs of smoked spring chinook bellie meat for SBS, and then do the same with 2 packs of the last fall chinook and keep it fresh, not frozen.
I also will make a dip consisting of 1/3 part lightly smoked canned sturgeon (man it that good stuff) 1/3 smoked salmon and 1/3 home canned funa. Take special care to get all the juices into the bowl and add a little lite mayo, touch of spicy mustard and light S&P. Make 24 hrs in advance to let flavors meld.
If I get motivated I am thinking about getting some oysters on Sat, brining then overnight and then smoking them Sun late morning, but who knows......
But, I think I want to go party with UHMW
No matter what I expect to see history being made

For the main course I'm putting 15Lbs of beef brisket in the smoker this morning and starting a batch of Chicken Gumbo. My buddy is providing a smoked turkey and the finger food will be elk sausage, various cheeses, crackers, chips and my buddy's famous chili bean dip.
Oh yeah, there'll be beer

Re: Super Bowl Snacks
Interesting thread....
I'll be serving pink worms, thumbnail sized baits of boraxed eggs, pink corkie with yarn, and maybe even a jig or two depending on water levels.
Hope someone's tempted to try one of these.
I wanna see a pic of the fish you catch with that roasted pig!

OK... how many of us are eating left-overs this week from the party?
I've still got a ton of pulled pork (still tweaking the west NC-style sauce), some wings, and that piece of lettuce.

Re: Super Bowl Snacks
ABT update...I smoked em 4 hrs on the big chief....while it did the baco perfectly, and the cheese and smokie were also dont to perfection the Jalepeno needs more temp to finish cooking.
Tried placing em under the broiler to finish off, about 10 mins, turning em contsntly to avoid burning/scorching, and that removed some more fat off the bacon, but didn't help cook the Jalepenos.
excellent flavor, just semi crunchy jalepeno.
Will be doing it again and again and again.
Next time I'll use the grill and indirect cooking with a smoker box for the 250* - 300* .
If I use the Big Chief again, I'll micro wave the split halves of Jalepeno for a few minutes to give em a good head start, then stuff and wrap as directed.
Thanks for the original post!!! they were a hit!!!
