Canners

Another thread on the other board got me thinking again about this. Does somebody make a canner that you can set for time and pressure and walk away till its done? Maybe an electric with a chip that keeps track and adjusts the heat automatically. I may just be lazy, but sitting in front of the gas stove, smelling the steam, and watching the timer while it takes three hours to click off 100 minutes gets old. Dont get me wrong the payoff is worth it, but I wonder if there is not an easier way?

Sounds interesting enough but i have never heard of one. I would never get far away from one as you are building a bomb as you build pressure.
Very dangerous tool, keep an eye on it!!!
