Multnomah County and Portland always have got their hands in my pocket at all times.Maybe if they stop running businesses away with their nonsense then they would need less money from me for bridges.

I glad I don't live in MC any more! Now the affects of folks
leaving is falling on those who choose to live there.
I can't remember, the last time, when I was in MC.
I did go thru it to go to the allocation meeting in
Vancouver, I guess that would count
Proposed or not, they have a funding problem like
many cities do but taxes is the easy out---jobs
business.

You have to think like Multnomah County. We need to decrease bridge traffic to extend the life. So if we run away businesses people won't have jobs to drive too. Maybe they'll even move away. Yeah that's the ticket!!

Here's an idea. Turn the sellwood Bridge into a bicycle only bridge then you don't have to worry about it.

If there is a tax there is a way in Multnomah county. Our county commissioners are so smart.

Make it a toll bridge. If you use it you pay. Tax bicycles for their share of the road use.
No doubt new bridge construction will mess up a good spring fishing spot.

Do it the "Federal Way", borrow from the trillion dollar deficient and give everyone in the country a $500.00 dollar check and call it an "economic shot in the arm".

Then we can all pay pack the $500 plus the interest. Probably only cost me a couple grand in the end.

You guys are to much. Find another route around Portland and stay out of Multnomah County, or pony up the bucks and re-build the infrastructure.

I drive over that rickity bridge all the time. Sometimes I drive over it pullin a load delivering to the eastsiders. Sometimes that rout is the best way to cope with rush hr traffic. Quit building more crime trains ,doctor trams and trendy neighborhoods so you can fix the darn bridge everybody uses beforfor it falls into one of the best early springer holes on the river for gosh sakes. Its one of the oldest bridges or the first made however you want to look at it. The last thing we need to do is shut it down to heavy traffic. How the heck will all the fans get to the blazer games???
