Default Shimano Bantam 1000 Plus

I have an opportunity to puchase one of these reels at a good price. Can anyone tell me what there opinion on this reel is . Is it worth the time or just junk.

Thanks,
Dave

Is it the one piece cast frame? If it is in good shape and the drag is good go for it! Check out eBay for a good idea on what they are going for.
Good Luck,
Stew

Tough as nails!! Its my big steelhead reel and mooching salmon reel....got 8 and would buy more. They are no longer made so get it while you still can. Only draw back I have heard of is if you don't rinse the black handles after saltwater they will freeze up. Replace with gators and keep on going
