Re: FREE SALTWATER GEAR! Convention '08!
I'll be sending in a nice packet of six teaser/predator chains. I can send them to someone or bring them to the convention. Whichever works.

Re: FREE SALTWATER GEAR! Convention '08!
I had to buy a whole case of oyster knives to get the ones I wanted (short blade with good tang), so I have osme that I will donate to the cause.
I'll bring them with me, arriving Fri afternoon to help out. Just let me (us) know who or where to get then to.
If my chemicals arrive in time I will also donate a quart of my egg cure. 20 yrs in development and a proven fish catcher.

New Standard Horizon VHF radio with DSC, missing the box and documents. Came with my boat, I replaced it with a pair of icoms.

Re: RAFFLE GEAR! Convention '08! List is growing.
Probable Raffle Rules to date;
1.) We will hold the raffle after dinner; we may hold some mini raffles during the day
2.) You can buy raffle tickets without having to buy dinner tickets
3.) Tickets are $1 ea or 6 for $5
5.) At this point - You don't have to be present to win but your ticket must be and the prize has to be hauled away that night unless you convince me to hold it for delivery for you

Re: Convention '08! Raffle Rules and STUFF
Big Tuna Marine, Bud Hosner aka Seelicious has donated a Kill Bag. If you haven't used one, you are missing out. They are really convenient and hold a lot of fish/ice without taking up a lot of room. I'll buy tickets for a chance at another one for my boat.

I'll be there Friday night too...I'll be in my camper (big grey dodge with lance 11.5' camper), across the street from the SSCC until the local PD throws me out...of course, I might be in the bar around the corner from the SSCC too.

Re: Convention '08! Raffle Rules and STUFF
Welcome aboard Tunarookie.
Mypursuit, steel tuna is in hand and Oh soooooooo Sweet. The his and hers live bait rods will be in hand tomorrow - a joint venture shall we say (Freakwater donated the blanks, I tossed in the components and built up the handles, 2slow wrapped the guides and did the finish work)
Pics to follow tomorrow - lets just say Pinky #4 is on the blocks girls
7' of e-glass pink 15-25# a perfect live bait rig
and its twin
7' of e-glass black 15-25# another perfect live bait rig
A his and hers live bait combo.
The Steel Tuna - SWEET - Sublime's pattern - cut from steel and the color of the fire - clear coated. It is truly wicked.
I know where my tickets for the raffle are going - think steel - think steel - come on steel

Re: Convention '08! GREAT Raffle STUFF
Ok here are some teaser pics. First up with the raffle ticket fairy (Juicyfruit) the steel tuna - donated by Freakwater.
Next up with the raffle ticket fairy is the Hers Live Bait rod. The reel isn't included in the raffle, just added for the photo opp. Blank was donated by Freakwater, components came from me, I assembled the handles and 2slow wrapped the guides. The guides are spiral wrapped in Sulkey White pearl metallic tipped with silver trim bands. the butt wrap is same thread with prism tape
The next is the His Live bait rod. Same as above but the wraps are done with a red metallic.
So when you see Juicyfruit at the check in desk make sure you have the raffle ticket fairy get you the lucky ticket (she'll be helping Mrs Sea)
