chains on travel trailers?

So I've got this little pop-up camper that I'm taking up to Oregon from so cal this weekend, and with all the snow lately I've been thinking I should bring chains for my SUV. But what about the trailer? The trailer is pretty small w pretty small tires. DO trailers need chains too? ANybody know?

It will likely be "chains required," and you only need chains on the trailer if your trailer has an axle with brakes on it.

thanks, and yeah, I've got brakes on it. Place down here wants $60 per tire.

Is that an RV dealer or a tire shop, if an RV dealer - head to a tire shop.

Look for a Les Schwab Tire shop. They are all over the west coast.
They have chains at a much lower price.

Probably, you only need to have one, as a "drag" chain - to keep your trailer from fish-tailing. That's what I used to do when truckin' anyhow.... good luck - zip

bimart or napa, buy cheap ones and cut them down to fit your small tires. put 2 rubber's on each chain to keep them tight to tire
