We absolutely knocked the **** out of the fish this past weekend below the mouth of Cedar Creek. Easily 20+ hooked on Saturday, but very few hens . On Sunday, nothing but bright hens hitting our eggs. Go figure. I heard from a buddy of mine that the water was pretty murky yesterday because of a dam release. However, he still managed to hook 9 fish. If you go, be prepared for the hike out, because it really sucks!

Been fishing there for three weeks now, limits everytime within 1-2 hours. Fish just started to turn colors this week. Still plenty of bright ones though. So many fish, no reason not to walk out with three bright hens every trip!

Thanks for the reports.

Could someone give directions to the mouth of Cedar Cr?

I could add that Eagle Cr. is loaded with DARK fish as I saw very few eaters where I was above the park. Anyone have a contrary report?

So, what's the best way to get these river coho? Spinners, bait, or what...any help is appreciated. I'm embarressed to say I don't have a Salmon or Steelie on my card yet this year and I need some help.

Bugleman: I hooked onto a couple of chrome fish on Eagle Creek. The fish I took home was red, but the meat was still firm and pink. Most of the fish I saw looked like they had just turned color. The meat will be okay for a little while at least. Give it a week or two, though, and it probably won't.

What amazes me about the Sandy is that there just doesn't seem to be an end to the fish moving through over the last several weeks!

Mojo, We've been fishing #5 spinners when the water is off, which it usually is and switching to eggs if they aren't hitting spinners. Sometimes it helps to move around a little til you get into a school of them but they are moving through consistently enough so that staying in one good spot isn't a bad idea either.

The Dodge park area is where we have spent our time and done well (today Chuckdog and I had 18 legally hooked fish to the bank, all on hardware except 1).

The rain is gonna take it out for awhile though I think.

i think the silvers are done with the lower river. i fished the big bend hole on monday night and saw only a few dark fish rolling. up until now its been full of bright silvers rolling. but i'm sure there's a few fashionably late ones. i'll be concentrating on the upper stretches from now on.
