Default Looking for big trees

I would like to buy a couple trees. Thinking maple and/or cedar. I want something about 20-25 feet tall as I don't want to wait for them to grow. I will get smaller trees for the other spots.

Anybody know of a nursery that sells big trees?

Big trees now or big trees today

about 3 miles south of Hillsboro on First street ( old Hwy 219, now called Hillsboro Highway I think) Left hand side as you are heading south, just after the turn to Merriweather golf course.

Hope this helps

I hope you understand what a tree like that will cost and the equipment needed to move and plant a tree that size. I have been in the nursery biz for 10 years and have moved trees up to 50' and it is a huge undertaking. A tree that size can cost lots of $$$ also. Good luck.

PM me if you need help finding the right tree. I'll send you in the right direction.

Sauvie's Island has an outfit that does that. Head downstream from the bridge, forget their name. They are near the school. Like 3"-4" trunk size. Or talk to Paul in scappoose, of stump be gone and affordable tree service. He should know some one with a tree spade and trees in the area. Like JD says, its a lot easier to plant little trees and wait.

Spade trees. Some of the commercial landscaping jobs I have worked did this.
There are several nurseries in town that provide the service. Expect to pay around $500.00 per unit.

Forgive me if my information is dated . . . it used to be that, if you could find someone to transplant large trees, much of the expence was due to their wanting to be able to guarantee a successful transplant and make a reasonable profit. And, many didn't have the modern equipment. Don
