Which Side of The Boat is the Luckiest !!!
Have you ever noticed that one side of a boat catches more fish than the other. I sure have ! In both my boats and others the one thing I have noticed and stands out is the side of the boat with the trolling motor seems to catch more fish. Is this because of the vibration of the prop or perhaps the bubbles coming from the prop! I have been curious about this, has anyone else?

Propwash rod hands down the best. It's money almost every trip.

Re: Which Side of The Boat is the Luckiest !!!
Hmm, valid point. Although it always seems to be the side of the boat that I am NOT on that is catching the fish.
Oh well, as long as I get to go fishin' I don't really care anyway......

Re: Which Side of The Boat is the Luckiest !!!
I'm with onstep in my boat it's the side with the trolling motor . That is also my side, and the last 9 fish this year have been on my side and my pole-- not sure if it's the motor or the pole?

Re: Which Side of The Boat is the Luckiest !!!
Gotta be the side Niki's fishing from.
If I catch more than her, I catch more than **** !
But, I still get to fish with my best friend and as long as she gets fish, I get to sleep with her, too.
Oh, Honey, here, take my rod and fight this fish for me will ya?

Re: Which Side of The Boat is the Luckiest !!!
Remember Jesus told his disciples to cast their nets on theRIGHT side of the boat? They damn near sunk the boat after that with the added weight. You will find me angling for the right side of the boat.

Depending on what your doing, either the inside or outside of the turn. Ocean Silvers, the outside of the turn is the primo spot. If your fishing too fast or high the inside of the turn is best, (T bay Chinooks) See what side the skippers rod is on.

Re: Which Side of The Boat is the Luckiest !!!
When running my drift boat and pulling plugs it is almost always the inside rod in the slot closest to the bank for me. Trolling, I haven't noticed a difference.

Re: Which Side of The Boat is the Luckiest !!!
Depends on where you are and how your fishing. B 10 up high it was definately the prop wash or straight out the back rod. Tolling in the sound some days ones rods hot, other days it's the other side. Gotta go with what was said about the turns, if your turning make it slow and wide and get ready for one of the rods to go down!!!!
Good luck and tight lines, Jeff

Re: Which Side of The Boat is the Luckiest !!!
The side my wife is sitting on. I don't know what it is, she won't even touch the bait, but her rod always catches the fish. If she's not there, my rod goes to work.
When I fish with my wife, if she catches a fish, I've caught a fish, so it's ok by me.

Re: Which Side of The Boat is the Luckiest !!!
SjP: that's exactly what I'm talking about!
If my wife catches fish, then I have done all the right things and all is right with the world.

Re: Which Side of The Boat is the Luckiest !!!
O.K....So I do everything different. Pulling plugs...I'd have to go with the rod closest to the bank. Anchoring....seems to be the rod opposite the trolling motor. Trolling...either side, unless Jan's in the boat, and then I'd have to go with whatever side she's on.

Re: Which Side of The Boat is the Luckiest !!!
all things being equal, i'd say outside the boat is definitely luckier than inside the boat.
