Moving these posts for a person and boat participation count thread:

All Righty!! I am looking forward to the 27th [Satsopo/Chehallis rivers] ... I would appreciate the beginning of a head count probably be easiest if everyone would email me:

OH.....and what is this about cleaning fish?? I haven't had anybody clean a fish for me in years and years...I will really enjoy that part!

RT...could you also please email me the "rewards" so that I know. I am going to throw another one in the pot. I will put an Okuma Epix 30 on the line for the best story of the worst cast of the day.

my email address is:

runwildrivers@yahoo.com

Thanks guys and gals!!

Like I had mentioned on PP the other BB we will be donating 5 bottles of the Ultimate Egg Cure which should be ready for the market by the end of the month, a lot later than expected, some issues with legality on labeling.

Anyhow I'm fighting hard to free the 27th, to come out and clean a limit of hens. (let me tell you sales sucks) - [and let me tell you Keith, if ya don't get it off and bring your *** up there we will boycott ****** Motors and also call you a sissy! rt] ... RT, we might not get the biggest fish but we'll have the largest bag of eggs at the end of the day! [only because they will bring so many with them in the first place - rt] Which would you rather have??? If we do keep a buck we'll be so kind to let you clean that!

Thanks Jim.

I will move your post above to a new F III headcount thread - here and on Piscatorial. Then guys from both places can e-mail participation confirmation and prize pledges to you (riversrunwild@yahoo.com), for pre-event planning and post info. Guys without rides and with extra boat seats should e-mail you too for matching up? I will donate a $25 STS products gift certificate. I think WW is doing the same for their tackle shop? Keith's cure is worth winning! Perhaps you should check into the possible need for the $25 WDFW derby permit? Also by early that week, give us suggestions for a beer and pizza place to meet after the Hwy. 12 boat ramp lot 'fish hoist and pic' get together.

Our team will need to switch to my sled due to a recent backside injury that will keep me from taking turns rowing a 3-man team driftboat. It will also allow us to use that as an excuse in the extreme outside chance that we don't come in with the most and heaviest fish totals. Our team is Stew (STEWED), Troy (Spooled), Bernie (C&E), and me (RT).

Come on Oregon guys and gals, lets get some more good teams confirming to Jim! Yeehaaw on the 27th on the Satsop/Chehallis!

Glad to see some of you also post here that you are coming to "The Slaughter On The Water", in addtion to e-mailing Jim. That way everyone knows who has the nads to show up with the big dogs. And makes it harder to chicken out. So post it here too guys and gals.

And 'Yall, "present". How nice of you to offer a present for us Orygone guys. Oh boy, can't wait for ... ah, hmmm ... for Shane or Paul or someone other than me to open it.

I couldn't make the first trip but with the rescheduling count me and another Oregon boat in. I've never floated any of these rivers or for that matter seen any of them though so is there anyone who needs a seat that is either a good rower or anyone who can help me read water. If so I have one seat for sure and possibly maybe two.

I would love to go and I could bring my drift barge up if there is an open seat, I would prefer to go with someone else as my towing rig is iffy. I can row if it would help.

I plan on being there. Which boat should I bring? The DB or Sled? Will there be some details on where and how to get there? Put-ins, take-outs, shuttles and all that stuff?

I'll be there, weather permitting, with Os and most likely Roger from Silent Approach Jigs riding with me.

The Satsop is pretty much novice water so for those of you who haven't done it before.....rest easy . I'll try to get some maps of the launches located along the Satsop and Chehalis so you can pick your spots. There are three or four spots to launch on the Satsop and another three or four spots on the Chehalis. You can drop a driftboat, sled, or prop boat SOMEWHERE in there.

We can hook up at the Satsop at Hwy. 12 (aka Hwy 8) starting at what, about 6? I'm not getting involved in any rulemaking, or rule following for that matter.....just remember that launching early ahead of the rest is a cracker thing to do. I'm just there to have some fun, meet some people, and CATCH SOME FEEESH. All the rest is just chatter..........

HOLY SMOKES!!!!

50 and counting....we might have to go to Olympia for Pizza and Brew.

Dan S. We might need some serious launch coordination for the Satsop. Maybe meet at Monte Square at 5 and draw for launch sites?? I don't know...the Chehalis will be able to handle the boats...also somebody emailed that maybe we should all have a flag or something for our boats so that we will know and be able to say HI ... not a bad idea...what does anybody else think??

More $0.02 worth: since daylight saving time ends the following day on Sunday, it won't likely get light out until around 7:00 am. Is 5:30 at Monty Square (Montesano exit from Hwy.12 - straight ahead of the off ramp into the store/gas station) early enough? Or 6:00 am at the Hwy 12 bridge boat ramp lot (large area - going west you need to cross the Satsop bridge and go a ways to cross back over to Hwy 12 east bound; cross back over the bridge a few yards and the turn in is right there) early enough? Or do we want to get an early launch jump on Saturday crowds?

This Hwy 12 ramp lot should be the meeting place right after fishing; for the hoist and pic taking - and razing WA guys who keep dark ones. Hey, dark ones don't count.

As for boat ID's I like that idea. I think it would be cool to come up with a best team name contest to duct tape to the side of boats. Perma pen on white cardboard or some kind of flexible banner material. 'Yall's team might just be "Team Duct Tape"? After all, Jim is giving a prize for the best "F III Bad Cast" story, posted after the event. Why not a prize for the best team name? Dibs on "No Crackers Allowed" for our team. Oh wait, Bernie is coming. Have to re-think that one. ... Back in your kitchen C&E.

Hey RT,

I made it through Frozentilla I and the only problem I had was outfishing team OR.

But, if we get "Rain: heavy at times especially along the coast." a day before the float, then the "weather permitting" part will apply.

About Monte Square: This place doesn't have the parking it used to, I think the Hwy 12 ramp at the Satsop might be a better location. It's only 15-20 minutes from there to any of the ramps on either river.

Launch slots? What is this, the Indy 500? We meet, we talk, we get about fishing. Where you go is up to you, I'm used to the crowds during salmon season, so it won't bother me to be fishing in the crowd.

Let's just hope the water is good for us.......that way Team OR will have
some chance.

Hey Dan, I knew you were talking about a total blowout of the river the day before, but I couldn't resist the setup. ...

So you Waaaasie's aren't done trash talkin us Orygoners, eh? Remember the smart teams don't prod good competition. So in light of that, I can prod away at you lamo's. ...

Geeez Keith, you are concerned about having chums there? You don't think you can hook and handle enough of those famous big hooknosed silvers? Well, just watch some veterans and you will learn a few things. ...

And rookies after nookies, Os? Lame, but better than bookies after crookies I guess? Naah. You could have done better than either; like "Nonads with kneepads" or something (had to beat ya to that one, so now you can't suggest it to me ). I will come up with some team name suggestions a bit later. - I can't ******* sit very long right now. Guess I better post why, after visiting the doc today (separate post).

Oh FH5, how could you post THAT?!? Now you've really riled up Oregon fishers!

"Team Donut"

Hey, are you guys recruiting Washington's best fisherMAN - The GODDESS? aka: The anti-christ buzzbomb girl. You could glue a few feathers on her and we'd think it was a rare California condor siting from a distance. (easy mods - it's just about a fictional fishing character)

RT,
GODDESS just emailed and was a bit shy she said, she wanted to know if she could have a seat in your boat? jk She said something about running some kwikfish the right way... Anyhow at least you've got a purpose for the throwable, a nice soft seat!

Allright team names now that sounds fun! We can hang some cardboard over the side of the boat with names on them. With 1st names and team names this way we know who everyone is.
It just came to me RT's team will be:
"The Buttercups"
We'll be:
"The Serial Killers"
By the way, are them chums legal to keep up there and will they count towards our contest limit. I know that this is your favorite fish to eat RT, especially the ones with white spots on them.

RT speaking of "Crackers" I hear you have a new one to smile about. Now you really didn't tell everyone here the "Real Truth" about how this new "Crack" developed did you?

You see, RT was dreaming he was in the Flotillat III when Catch And Eat gets a big fatty on. RT turns and says "Geeeee...that looks like a nice one there C&E, do you mind? So C&E starts to hand him the Rod of golden myth when...." RT wakes up with a hook set and falls out of bed landing square on the ol'e sitter downer.

Steve dreams like that are a terrible thing. Nothing to be ashamed of though. At least you did'nt wet the bed. Sorry matey, could'nt resist the kitchen again.

Hey, real sorry to hear about the backside. Very painful! I sure hope the pain is tollerable when we set hook afer hook after hook, on them washington blokes. Hope it heals real fast. Fish on!!!

I still want to go but need a seat. I do know how to drift, sometimes catch fish and even row. I see that a couple of people looks like have an open seat. I would like to help fill them. I'll be coming from the Gresham area.

Thanks,
