Default Freezer Trouble

I have a two and a half year old fridgidaire freezer that has quit. Almost 100 pounds of fish and so on in the trash. I am looking for a freezer repairman. I think the compresser has quit and it is still under warranty. I called standard tv, they want $70 to put the truck in the driveway and $12 for every 10 minutes; this is highway robbery. Are there any freezer repainmen who do work on the side? Give me a call or pm me.

Why would you have to pay if it's still under Warranty?

It just covers that part no labor or other parts.

Here's one worth a call. Never used them nor have I heard anything about them.

Hope this link is OK.

Standard tried to s... me on repairing my whirlpool freezer last month. I called whirlpool and they told me that the parts and labor were covered. I called Standard back and corrected them. Look up frigidaires web site and contact their customer service line. Give them your freezer model and serial number and find out exactly what is covered. Usually all the components of the sealed refrigeration portion have a extended warranty. Good luck

Are you sure it quit, in extreme cold weather a freezer that's stored in a garage, carport etc... will not cool to it's set temp due to the ambient outside temp...just an fyi.

By calling the freezer people that made the thing, it is coverd for five years on the major parts. So i got a guy coming out to fix it and with the info from djb, i'm going to call the better business bureau and file a complaint. I'm going to give the business to someone who wants it because i'm sure they'll get extra money some how on warranty work.

For what it's worth, don't buy a damn thing from standard tv and appliance. I won't anymore.
