Default Tillamook Sunday.....slowwww

Fishing 2 rods yesterday we started at Memaloose, trolled down the picket fence, sheep corall, middle bay, bay city and the ghost hole. Saw just a few fish caught at the oyster house hole, not much else. Trolled spinners the entire time and missed 2 hard takes. Where are all the fish? I looked for IFish stickers on other boats wondering if some of you were out there, did not see any. The guide boats had a few fish but were struggling too.

Oh well, maybe next time,

Gregg

Gregg, lipripper and myself are heading out there tomorrow. Do you know if the coast got much rain?, maybe alot of the fish ran upriver which could make tidewater a good choice!

Got to Tillamook Saturday afternoon and fished Sunday and it didn't rain enough to amount to anything. We fished five rods and all we managed was one hookup on spinners that eventually got off Only saw probably eight or ten fish caught on the outgoing in the morning around the corral, and half of those seemed to be silvers which were released. Nasty day on the bay, cold, strong wind out of the east, mixed with some rain (not nearly enough) and no fish. Did hear of one caught on bobber and eggs around the hospital hole that would go well over 40, but no other reports of any action.

Trolled outside sunday, at least until the wind machine came on at noon. One takedown, no fish. Saw about six landed all day. Every time someone would hook up, the whole fleet would converge on that person, mostly out of boredom. We did take 13 crabs, so that makes a nice consolation prize.

Guess I made the right choice Sunday??. Mrs. Mission hooked a 37 pounder and Rick gave her a LARGE HELPING hand landing it. I got an 18 pounder. And the both of us each had one other fish on...Jan lost hers due to knot failure (She tied it, not me..) and mine came undone. All in all..we had a good day. Several other fish were hooked also.

Fished from daylite til about 4:30-5. Brutal day.

Nice job Fishin, from the other reports I read yours was the most encouraging. Can you share what area you were in. We are going to put in at first light and probably won't leave until.....

I to spent a cold, miserable day on the bay. Started at the oyster house and made it all the way out to Bay City, then back again. Had one good bite a the beginning of the day that I got two headshakes and a "see ya". Another person in our boat got a bite out by the dolphin off Bay City and we at least got to see that one boil before it came off. Both on #6 red/white spinner. It got a little too nasty out there so we headed back to the oyster house and tied on some kwikfish, no sardine. After about 30 minutes of hovering off the boat ramp we had a fish with suicidal tendencies KO a plug and managed to get that one, a hen about 23#. Figured we'd better git while the gittin' was good so we went to PC for some chow and suds. Great way to cap the day.
