Nehalem reports?

Fished friday and managed 1 bright 20+ lber to the boat. Saw a LOT of jumping fish. Only personally saw 2 other fish caught. I did catch a crab pot though the owner probably wasn't impressed! This is the third time this year that I have been salmon fishing and the fish were trying to fly, is it just a coincidence that the bite seemed to be off when the fish were jumping so much? Planning on trying again this coming friday, maybe the rain will improve the catching.

Fished most the day Saturday out by the jetty. Landed a 30lb buck. Also a couple Coho that had those pesky fins still attached. Pressure was medium-heavy. Saw maybe 12 fish hooked.

Anybody do any fishing above the 101 bridge in Nehalem today. Want to make the trip tomorrow. Thanks in advance!

I fished below the bridge today and caught two unclipped coho. Fish were jumping everywhere, but afraid they're almost all native silvers. I heard that the hatchery fish were holding up at the forks, so think I'll try there tomorrow. Hope the rain hasn't pushed them on up the North Fork.
