Default Klineline Pond

Anyone tried Klineline lately? I am thinking about giving it a shot tonight and maybe this weekend.

Haven't been there but have you seen the report? Since Jan. 7 - 3000 rainbows and last week they put in 150 brooders 6-10lbs. Fishin' should be GREAT!

On another forum people have been saying that the bite has been really slow. I did see the report that is why I was asking. I am thinking about going out there Saturday.

The real question is how the sturgeon bite is at Klineline. Anybody else remember when a guy caught a keeper sturgeon out of there?

I do not remember that, but my dad told me about it. That is just crazy.

If you only go fishing when you hear the bite is hot- you will get there the day after the good fishing!

If you don't go soon after the truck drops the fish off- they will be gone when you get there- it's called "put and take" fishing for a reason.

You might not want to believe everything you read on the internet- could it be....... the "talk" on those other forums is just aimed at trying to keep you and everyone else from coming to "their" hot spot?

I see you live in Vanc. anyway- it's only 20 minutes to the lake. You could go for an hour and catch your limit and be back in less than 2 hours. Then you would know for yourself how good the fishing is and you could then write a first hand report for us!

I actualy only live about 2 mins form there. The reason I ask is because there are not many people fishing it when I drive by. If the bite is good there are a ton of people. Plus, I don't want to waste a day there if the fishing is bad when I could be on a river getting skunked.

Yep, I live right there as well and the only time I see people fishing it is immediately after the truck has dropped in the latest plants.

I've fished it a few times and never caught a thing. Never seen one caught, either. I'm sure the fish get caught but I think it is necessary to hit it pretty quickly after the fish plant. I should hit it more than I do and at least make an effort at finding something the fish will hit.

regards, aw

Any time spent fishing is NOT wasted time.
Klineline can be work. If not too many people there, move around the lake, try different things. Bobber and worm, black fly, try it all.
There are sturgeon there. They are deep and mostly along the south and east sides. I fished them since I was 14 and only caught 1. I have seen many jump and from the cliff line to the north( when you could hike down it) you could see them cruising the NE corner.

I may have to take the kids (3 1/2 and 2) over there once it warms up a bit since it is so close to me also.

Thanks for the report!

I read it just got stocked with 1000-1500 fish on the 10th. I've thought about going, but just haven't had the time.

I think it has just been too cold. I have been going after every stock and not seeing much action.
