Default Egg curing reabsorbtion

Anybody mix in alcohol during the reabsorbtion of the egg juices? How did your eggs turn out?

With all the things I've tried and heard of regarding egg curing, alcohol was never brought up. Can you elaborate?

Marty,
Does not work well early in the curing process.

Thanks fishbait I don't normally cure using a brine so that saves some eggs...not that I couldn't test some this year.

WMB...Uhhh.. Well alcohol and oil mix really good. Oil and water not so good. Eggs are made up of a high content of oil... One of the ways oil is extracted from products is with a solvent...alcohol happens to be a solvent for removing oil. Then the solvent is evaporated off.
With that said...go look at your aftershaves contents. Does that stuff really smell? YUP!!
imagine a aftershave made of fish oils.
One of the most concentrated scents is held in oil...alcohol releases the scents into water solutions.
Wonder how cravex perfume works

Hows that for elaborate

Smiles,

I think I see your point. A little alcohol might increase the egg smell and do better (in theory) to attract fish. Sounds like it might work. Let us know.

(I can hear it now, "9 out of 10 fish surveyed preferred Dr. Smilesforu's 90 proof eggs prior to spawning.")

I beleive that by adding alcohol during the curing process,it would increase the amout of oils released during fishing, thus causing a very milky egg cloud.....how's that Keith.

For some reason all my alcohol never makes it into the egg cure, doesn't taste that great with salt&lime.....Os

He also reads P.P. BB Keith. Recall that there was a thread in which alcohol was discussed a long time ago. I like DMSO and 'other things' better for increasing egg juice dispersal. Nuf said?

Not good,
Alcohol will break the eggs down during the curing process somewhat similar to fresh eggs that have been frozen then thawed and cured..
What would make think of alcohol for fish marty???
