Default PE Review - 6 Minute Solutions

Been burning the midnight oil lately studying for the April 11th exam and have come to the conclusion that I need more practice in the ENVIRONMENTAL Engineering portion.

If you have the "6 minute solutions" book for ENVIRONMENTAL and would be willing to part with it permanently or for a time, let me know.

Thanks,
Dan

All I have is the 9th edition Lindeburg refrence manual and the practice problems for the civil engineering PE exam. Not specific to Enviro, but if you could use them, let me know.

For the environmental section make sure you know BOD and downstream chemical concentrations.

Best PE Exam advice I can give you is manage your time. Don't get bogged down on a question. Move quickly wether you answer the question or not. Come back to the ones that don't come quickly.

Agreed. If they let you have scratch paper, what I would do (back in the day) would be to write down the question number if I didn't know it within 15 or so seconds. Go on to the next, etc. Come back to the numbers I had written down. Whatever you do, don't leave any questions unanswered. A blank is just as wrong as a incorrect answer. Who knows, on a pure guess you have a chance at getting it right

The PE format has again changed this year.... Instead of the standard structural, enviro, trans, geotech and water modules, the board in all it's insight decided to included a "construction" module and combine the water and enviro into one section.

Not such a good thing for water guys like me, and a little ridiculous for todays professional that are typically so specialized. Not to mention there are few if any texts available on what the construction module consists of.

Hold on, its gonna be a hard road to April 11.

Has the NCEES practice exam been re-written to reflect the new format? That was what I found most useful to get an idea of what would really be on the exam last year. The Linderburg practice problems were much more difficult than what was actually on the exam.

Good luck!
