Prawn spinners on the Internet?
I checked both GI Joes and Fishermans online catalogs and can't find prawn spinners. Does anyone know of an internet site where you can purchase prawn spinners?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Prawn spinners on the Internet?
Making your own is easy and in the end it's alot lighter than the heavy wire types. To answer your question Fisherman's has a set up called Eric's Prawn Rigs. These are the same type you can make yourself.

Re: Prawn spinners on the Internet?
They had them in the Salmon/Trout/Steelhead Cabela's catalog last year, so you might want to check with them.

Re: Prawn spinners on the Internet?
Space fish is right you can make the exact same set up as an erics prawn spinner easy as pie.
I build all my own prawn and anchovie rigs. I use better line, hooks and blades then on the premade stuff.
all you need to do is go to fishermans and look at one then stop by joes gets some Gspot blades in the colors you preferr and some hooks and your set if you can tie a bait holder then you can tye prawn rigs. pay sprcial attention to the bead sizes and the numbers of beads on the erics rigs if you dont get enough th blade will hit your bait
hope that helps you out

Re: Prawn spinners on the Internet?
BC anglers next to Fishermans in OC can set you up with Toman blades.

Re: Prawn spinners on the Internet?
Boise is a long way from Oregon City ... I think that's the issue.

Contact Get Bent via his website / email. Scott is a member and can set you up with spinners that work very well.

Re: Prawn spinners on the Internet?
Pete, an astute observation on your part - you're right. I'm stuck out here in the sage and sand, so it's hard to locate a dealer carrying some of the tackle that is so common in your area.

Re: Prawn spinners on the Internet?
Steve and Scott I received your emails - thanks.
Rick, I sent you an email - thanks for your offer.
Guess that now I'll have to crawl into my bunker and keep my head down as volleys pass over head between Rick and Scott. Rick, you're too much.

Are you sure about that Rick?
Any thoughts on tomorrow?

Re: Prawn spinners on the Internet?
Rick, I knew you were yanking Scott's chain. Seen enough posts and pictures to know you guys share friendly insults on the water and sometimes in the same boat. Plus the "Team Get Bent" in your signature is a give away.
Scott, I tried calling you earlier today and spoke to your wife - I'll try to get you tonight.

Re: Prawn spinners on the Internet?
Saw some new ones form Oregon Tackle at the Sportsman's Show. Look pretty interesting. Low impact on the bait. Harder to snag.

Re: Prawn spinners on the Internet?
Dipnet, lets see some pics of that new ride you bought that Scott was telling me about.
Rick, thanks for posting that pic of the set up that you and Thumper use....Steve [Fear no Fish] was describing it in an email and this pic helps. Nice set up. Any particular color patterns [blade and/or beads] more productive when fishing the Wind, or Willamette?
Scott, ....Steve says to tell you that he had a "big wet kiss for you, cute little teddy bear!" No mention of tongue, so I guess your relationship is still in the developmental stage.

Re: Prawn spinners on the Internet?
Rick, actually FNF said that Thumper turned him onto this great setup, so under the circumstances,....whose "secrets" are we sharing?
Do I note, perhaps, a little jealacy here? Perhaps FNF could offer a big wet kiss for his other cute little teddy bear.

Re: Prawn spinners on the Internet?
Dean,
I believe Steve's nickname for ****** is "Big Cuddly Polar Bear".
I got a permission slip to visit Sportsmans today (Nan had a moment of weakness when I gave her the Valentines present and a dozen red roses), so watch out bank account!
