Default 10 ga. shot shells??

Hello,

I am in charge of buying several boxes of 10 ga. shotgun shells for a predator trip later in Feb. My initial reaction to the the price from Cabelas almost prompted a call to 911!

My question. If anyone has some 10 ga shells suitable for coyotes and wants to sell them, please get in touch with me. Or, if you know of a source for these shells, at a somewhat less expensive price than full bore" Cabelas, please also get in touch.

Thanks,

Rusty

i have lots of 10ga bbb's in steel shot, it you want buckshot i can load it for you or buy the pellets you want and i'll do that. i just saw a 15 000 buck load that would be over kill, 1300fps

i have federal paper base hulls on hand and can look up any loading you want for them. i would say lead #4 buck would do everything a 10ga is good for

I was just looking at some of the "After Season Sale" shells that I bought last year at Joe's.

In amongst them are 3 boxes of 10 ga. Federals that have stickers on them that clearly read "Sale $5.00"!

Those are in amongst some others, 16 ga. Steel #4s for Pheasants, that were almost as expensive as the 12 ga. Steel Duck loads at their regular price.

I don't think I'll EVER find 10 ga shells at $5.00/box ever again!

Most for sale shells may not pattern well in your gun.. Most say that coyotes and BB's go together. My shotgun shoots the #2 & #4 copper coated pellets much better, and coyotes die quick. Most called dogs come runnin' in, turn to leave and then the shot happens, much like decoying waterfowl. Keep that in mind. A skinned coyote is very very smali, about like a loaf of french bread. Pattern your gun first, it's the best I can suggest.

A buddy has a few boxes of LEAD 2's. I'm not sure what kind of ranges you will be shooting but I have seen my 10 absolutely destroy coytes at 40 yards. I'd assume anything inside this with a full choke and the 2's would be good.

If interested, pm me and i'll get you in touch.
