Default Coastal skunked and scoads!!!! (Pictures)!!

Fished alot, I mean alot of the water I normally get um in and only lost one for many prime holes....

Here is the first one I landed!!!
Really too bad 34"+ hatchery buck spawned out and dead, never made it to the hatchery either.

Then.. decided to go fish some water that I have wanted to hit all winter that nobody and I mean nobody fishes. It is rigth on the HWY too! I tryed to make some water that was marginal work, then moved to some better lookin water just before dark and hammered two in a row on drift gear chartruese yarn and small pink/white cutomized w/ pink pearl revlon added oakie driffter and on shrimp and one w/o shrimp.

No pictures cause I lost both right up at the bank, both exacty same way! In five minute too!

I ran out of my good gami'z and and tied up some leaders w/ lazer eagle claw crap hooks that I had in moth balls. Really I was wondering now that is like 6 I have lost on these, and many more bites that I have lost during the bite, they suck!

Any one in my area that wants 100 size #2 octopus Lazer Sharps, be my guest, I will give them to u.

Well went to store and replenished my Gami'z tonight and check out how they all turned out.

There is a 8# ultragreen with alternating size #1/0 and #1 and 12# ultragreen with alternating #1 and #4. I use ten pound maxima clear. The 12# is for floats and drifitn when there is lots of fish and less snaggy water.

Ty,

As always, another good report. Thanks and keep em coming. You've given up lots of great info lately. I especially liked your "custom" slinky, made up a bunch and started using them last week. I'm sold on them.

Ty, I hit it the other day (I'm assuming you were fishin' your usual river). Fished from 9 until about 1 with only one darky hooked for me. LOW AND CLEAR has never been the best combo for me. My buddy landed a nice chrome hen that we took home. This is the second fish in as many days on the river that we've taken home and upon opening her up for cleaning we've found that it's just loaded with eggs in it's stomach. This one must've eaten about 100-150 and the one the other day had about 50 eggs, 2 sandshrimp, a few Jensen or Pautzki (sp?) eggs and a gooey bob. Who says they stop feeding when they enter fresh water?

P.S. There is one of the biggest hatchery steelhead that I've ever seen just laying in the grass by the hwy 34 bridge. I'm talkin' like 38-39"! Looks like it was still in "decent" shape, not spawned out or anything. I don't know why someone would catch something like that then leave it there to rot.

That fish looks like it would smoke up real well!

Just out of curiousity Ty, how long do you leave your leaders when you tie those up?
